Soda Pop Pens: Make Your Own and Discover New Marks
with Susan Richardson

Susan Richardson demonstrating how to cut the soda can,
then helping Phyllis Miller cut hers.

1. Cut out pen shape using a pattern supplied by Susan.
2. Wrap the can around a bamboo chopstick, then secure with duck tape.
3. Staple just inside the edge to help the nib hold more ink.
4. Anneal the nib over a candle until it is very black. This strengthens the nib.
